What makes PSMA different from other marketing associations?
PSMA is geared to people who do not market a tangible product, but rather a service. PSMA also covers a broad range of marketing duties, such as PR, event planning, and social media, in addition to traditional marketing planning and tactics. We’ve kept the cost reasonable because many of our members belong to other professional associations and have found that the PSMA complements their professional networks.

What opportunities does PSMA provide for networking?
The PSMA offers at least four educational programs annually, but also an array of social events and lunches. We will occasionally offer additional education, socials and a vendor showcase. We also have a Facebook page and a LinkedIn Group where you can connect virtually.

How is your organization funded?
The PSMA is funded largely in part by our valued sponsors, as well as through membership fees and event registration funds.

What are the benefits of membership?
The PSMA seeks to encourage and provide continuing education, networking and professional development opportunities for its members and to provide a forum for sharing ideas among the members. Just a few of our member benefits include: educational programs, website, networking opportunities, membership directory, job postings and a member newsletter.

What industries are involved in membership?
Our members come from many different professional service industries, including: law, accounting, engineering, architecture, construction, banking and insurance. We also count vendors to these industries, other service providers and marketing students among our members.

What does it cost to join?
Dues are $125 per year or  $25 for a student membership. There is no national organization that you are required to join.

Do I have to be a marketing professional to join?
You do not. Any professional service provider (i.e. attorney, accountant, engineer, etc.) who has an interest in learning more about marketing is welcome to join. We also have a student rate for students who are considering a career in marketing.

How many members are there?
A little less than 100.

Do I have to be a member to go to events? How can I register for an event if I’m not a member?
Non-members are always welcome to attend all of our events at the non-member rate. Simply register through our website or by contacting the member noted on the invitation.

How do I join a committee?
Contact any of our Board Members, Committee Chairs or committee members.

How can I become a sponsor? Are there levels?
Contact our Sponsorship Chair or Sponsorship committee members. There are three levels of sponsorship – Platinum at $1500, Gold at $800, and Silver at $500. See the Sponsorship page for sponsor benefits.
